Tyragon sits by his chair in one of the Argent halls in Stormwind looking through some reports. He takes a look at a report Officer Auro as wrote from his expedition.
As soon as yer lads and lasses had come to the gates of Ironforge did we start our journey to the Plaguelands. We had a rough one through the Wetlands and Arathi, to Hillsbrad and Alterac. We had also stumbled across a few friendly adventures around Arathi while Lieutenant Valorcall of Stromgarde escorted us a good way. We also encountered unfriendly Forsakens in Hillsbrad despise our well shown Argent Dawn tabards and friendliness towards them. Then we also came across a Druid we accompany us in Alterac Highlands to the Chillwind Camp on request of an escort.
When we got to the camp we settled down to resupply ourselves and rest before the real mission got into hand. When we were done resting we went east through the graveyard and so we were heavily ambushed continously. Luckily the Paladins you had given me were as templars, they wiped them all. We found the crypt that we had gotten a few reports of being visited by a Lich a few times and went down to look. It was as expected to be well guarded and so it were, when we got to the lowest level a lab full of books and lab-equipments were found. The scientist you had sent me started to scavange everything she found useful and even managed to teleport a few bookshelfs. I found a few interesting rocks and so I took a few samples while the other covered the entrance. When we were done our scientist started to plants charges in the rooms corners so that this place might not be used again. We went out and took cover as she blew the crypts lower level, once that was done we headed west towards Andorhal.
Andorhal had highly Scourge activity, more than I had anticipated. We struggled to get through and so we lost a few good men, I got heavingly wounded on the way but managed to survive thanks to the Paladins. We went north to one of the farms were we had reports of a cauldron to be found. It was heavingly guarded but this time we were ready for it. We launched a suprise attack before the Scourge had even noticed us and so they were no match. The scientist took a few samples from the cauldron and I took a few samples from the platform the cauldron were on. Again we set up charges and took cover to blow it up, the blast made the cauldron shatter into pieces who flew all over the farm. We ran off quick because that blast was sure to alert more Scourge to come, and so we went east to the other part of the Plaguelands.
When we got over the bridge we immediatly turned north over the small hills for a secret passage to the Scourge encampment outside of Stratholme, since I needed samples from the structures it was the safest way through undetected. Unluckily the secret passage had been found by the Scourge after the last reports of no activity in it. It was full of undead nerubians, the cave also gave us some interesting samples aswell. In the end of the tunnel we came across a huge nerubian and we had a few casualties. Once we were out we took a small passage at the mountain side to avoid the large armies of Scourge around the ruined town there. We found a structure and ambushed the guards outside and quickly went in to neutralize the few necromancers who occupied it. We took more samples and set more charges to make a manover, when the structure were blown up it alerted the surrounding Scourges and gave us a chance to sneak of into a ruined tower.
Once we were in it I set a flair to signal transport out of there, unluckily some Scourges weren't alerted by the explode and saw us. We had waves upon waves of Scourge, the Paladins, the Ebon Death Knight and the single Dwarf ranger I had with me tried to hold as much as possible while protecting me and the scientist. After being badly wounded and exhausted from the continous battle the gryphons were here to pick us up and so we got away from there before the local Lich came with an even larger army.
We were relieved to had finally left that hell hole and were on our way to Light's Hope Chapel, once we got there we were taken care of for examination of any sort of diseases or plagues, wounds were taken care of and since our food supplies were gone as we entered the secret passage we got our well earned dinner!
The mission was a success even though the few casualties. But the men and woman did a great job in this expedition and so I recommand you to keep it in mind because they earn a good medal! I sent you a few samples aswell and I hope they made use for future needs.
