The ship speed across the waves, riding high on her runners with the wind coming across her stern, the Dragonhawk was a mere speak on the ocean but she was hunting, her captains red hair streaming over her shoulder like a war banner, the ship and crew had been out at sea for only a few days when the shout of “Sail-ho” had been heard

“Can you identify the ship” Yei ordered
“Two horde vessels Cap’in, off the…” the watch was shouting when he was cut off
“Leave them be, we are hunting Alliance vessels or those that pose a threat.”

The Sin’dorei vessel shot past the larger warships of the horde. It was going to be a quiet week thought the former assassin. That thought changed when a day later the storm hit, the rain lashed down so hard it almost bounced back up from the sea and the deck, everyone above deck used anchor points to stop them being washed overboard by the huge waves that threatened to capsize the small ship, the Dragonhawk ran up the back of the waves only to hurtle down the other only to climb up again. The horizon, when they could see it was black, the storm raged for four days before it finally blew itself out, after a head count it revealed that two crew members had been lost, the ship herself was still sound and suffered very little damage.

The sun shone again and the crew of the Dragonhawk kept their eyes open, for both ships and storm clouds. It was mid afternoon one windy day when the call of “Sail-ho” was called from the starboard watch, the report was a dwarven ship, and it had seen them and was bearing down on the small vessel.
“Aka’ula, blow it out of the sea!” she yelled, he grinned, saluted and then began to aim the ballista, the characteristic thud, followed by the scream of the rocket could be heard, the dwarf ship was hidden behind a large wall of water for only a few moments, the rocket had no effect on the ship, it had done nothing, the huge vessel rose up a wave and she saw why, they had simply blown a chunk of a huge ram away.

“Manovers!” she barked at the helm, he nodded and got the smaller ship to dart away from the huge metal clad ship that was bearing down on them, as she sailed past the vessel at full speed, a shot rang out, hearing a groan behind her Yei saw the Helmsman go down, the female captain then swore, profusely, before vaulting the rail to man the helm.

“Aka’ula, nail that son of an ogres backside to there mast!” the Sin’dorei roared, the troll turned, yelled something that was lost in the sudden fire of cannons, he just grinned, gave the thumbs up. Yei suddenly swung the Dragonhawk round, the former assassin kept her eye on the dwarven sniper, so was Aka’ula, who fired the ballista, the dwarf was suddenly swept back onto the ship when the large bolt struck the small bearded man in the chest.
“We are not going to be able to take this one, we have to retreat!” she shouted, no-one spoke, as the small vessel shot past the slower, larger vessel, Yei hit a button, behind her there were a dozen hollow thuds followed by explosions, smoke billowed over the metal monstrosity

“Cap’in!” some one shouted “We got four more ships coming in!” Yei cursed her luck and made the Dragonhawk run, it left a bad taste in her mouth, they had lost three crew members and had nothing to show for it, next time, she thought, next time, your going to be sunk!

((reply by Akaula))

“Sail-ho”

Aka'ula tried to wipe the salt water from the lenses of his goggles so he could see what the watch was talking about. He let out an impressed whistle. For little people those Dwarves make things big.

“Aka'ula, blow it out of the sea!”.

There was no way he was blowing that out of the sea.

The troll grinned and saluted at his captain. She was far too busy to notice the uncertainty in his usually carefree smile. He turned to Garn for assistance but the massive Tauren seemed to be having trouble keeping upright; With his hooves finding little purchase on the wet deck, he was concentrating all his effort on keeping his arm firmly hooked around the central mast. Aka'ula was on his own.

The ballista was already armed and the troll had little trouble aiming at the massive shape dominating his view. He fired. It hit. It did nothing.

“It aint gonna work Yei!” the troll yelled. She shouted something to the helm. Aka'ula held onto his ballista as the ship shunted to full speed. He looked around to offer the helmsmen some unsavoury advice on controlling the ship, but turning to see blood gushing from the helmsman's throat, Aka'ula figured maybe he'd tell him later.

A shot pinged off the weapon he held onto. “Sky Kraken take yah mon!” he yelled in response. The dwarf had made the troll his next target.

“Aka’ula, nail that son of an ogres backside to their mast!”.

Wiping the seawater off of his goggles he spotted the sniper as another shot ricocheted off the ballista. “Stop hittin' it!” he screamed.

Scrabbling for the massive bolts he had prepared for his equally massive ballista, Aka'ula winched the bowstring back and loaded his projectile. Aiming at the small figure, the flame haired troll held his breath “Yah be stayin still now, tiny mo..” The dwarf fired, the bullet hitting not its intended target but the latch holding the bowstring in place. With a mighty THWANG the projectile was launched towards it's target and ,with a soft squelch, made it incapable of causing any more problems.

Small projectiles - earlier attempts at creating his water rockets – shot towards the Dwarven ship, obscuring its vision with a thick, black smoke.

As several more ships arrived to defend the Dwarven vessel the Dragonhawk sped off into the horizon. The troll could see the frustration in his captains usually emotionless face. Turning to his beloved weapon, Aka'ula began fixing the bowstring before anybody questioned how he made that impressive shot.
