Blizzcon Discussion Thread

Now with only 2 hours to go I might as well start this thread. This is how I have prepared:

Something wrong with the picture, where is the bong, the lines of charlie, the box of beers and mini fridge?

I have the mini fridge in my bedroom but I had to move out to the living room. Now I have an actual fridge. As for the bong: well, I have a water pipe just off-screen. For the pizzas and beers, going to the store within the hour.

We have the same mouse. Yay.

According to mmo-champion the next expansion will be revealed at the opening ceremony so I hopefully we'll know for sure in a couple of hours then.

Chris Metzen confirmed the Monk as the new Diablo class.

Showed a cinematic where the monk pwnd a big demon with his fists. Seems like a martial arts/spell casting class.

Ingame trailer showed some cool action where the monk flashed from mob to mob, blowing them apart with fists of fury.

Cataclysm confirmed. Trailer showed. Barrens and STV with peninsulas and lavas flowing through them. Goblins confirmed as Horde race. Wailing Caverns has healed parts of Barrens. Greymane Wall shattered. Zone looks gloomy with mist and worgens. Flying mounts in Azeroth confirmed. New race/class combinations confirmed. Graphics in Azeroth much better than before. Level cap raised to 85. Guild leveling system. Deadmines and SFK heroic isntances. New profession: Archaeology (secondary). Deathwing confirmed boss.

altough the new proffession looks awesome ^^
how are they going to... well.. people who don't have catalysm, dont have the new zone-looks..

The zones are permanently revamped. It will affect everyone, even those without the expansion.

Deathwing heared the whispers of the Old God which empowered him tenfold. He awoke from his slumber and literally exploded into the materal world which actually caused the Cataclysm. This also brings up the Elemental Planes to the surface of Azeroth. This will be one of the expansion's focus.

If I remember correctly, the Worgen in Silverpine are Arugals one's; they belong to the Scourge. The Worgen of Gilneas were trying to fight the Worgen plague, so they closed the Greymane wall.
The human kingdom was asked to join the Alliance, but the Alliance needed Gilneas more then Gilneas needed them, so they said no. The worgen-plague became a pandemy (SWINE FLU, NOES!) and after years of being silent, the Forsaken started attacking them. Since there are rumors Worgen were once famlily to the Kaldorei, the Night Elves help them in their battle against the forsaken so they join the Alliance.

Lizardwolfhybridthing as a mount for worgens. Armored truck with spikes as a mount for goblins.

Horde gets the cooler mount.. FUCK!

Orgrimmar gets a revamp and is more armored like Warsong Hold.

7 new zones:

Mount Hyjal
Sunken City (underwater)
Uldum (IS A WHOLE ZONE)
Gilneas (Worgen starting zone)
Lost Isles (Goblin starting zone)
Deepholm (Elemental Plane, or Dragonblight of the expansion)
Twilight Highlands (featuring Grim Batol)

EVERY zone is revamped with new quests, art and items.
