| (( copied from - http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=11824313937&sid=1 - Vyp))Light shines through the high windows of the Throne Room, as it did when it still was made of splendor. But the light dancing over the marble floor of Lordaeron’s Capital City is not pure and blazing with faith and royalty as it was. It is tainted, now. And it speaks of many memories, echoing their grave messages through the Undercity. An odd company approaches, their paces confident and silent, their colors red and gold. Memories, for some. A clash of a staff’s end meeting with the marble floor as the delegation of sin’dorei strides towards a gathering of Forsaken in the Throne Room where once King Terenas sat. Before they lost all. Friendly smiles, business proposals. A phoenixfeather quill scribbles glittering red ink into a signature on the Documents of an Alliance. A new bond. Banners of the Undercity are raised, and the flag-carrier of the sin’dorei raises the banner of the Everlasting Sun in pride, too. Hands are shaken and bows exchanged. For Silvermoon has no friends, only interests. And the Forsaken, they lost all they had, too. They are the perfect allies… in times of need. Together, they will raise their banners when war horns sound, side by side, to bundle their prowess as they have before. This is the day to forge new alliances. The day to be prepared. | Snicka would find this really bad news... walking corpses aren't good, vain elves aren't good - but the two allied is double no good! | |

| Why would he really care? Blood elves and Forsaken have been allied for quite some time now. It's called the Horde.. oh, the trolls are in it too. | |

| He would care a lot. This Horde is not the Horde his people joined seven or eight years ago, and Snicka was really not fond of the Eastern Horde. He always suspected that these two people are willing to backstab the Horde anytime... and if they form their bondage stronger, they might oppress the Western Horde. Not to mention that the House of Sylvanas gaining any support would really bother him. Yes, he was a closed-minded troll... or let's call it aware? ((This confession was my 1000th post. )) | |

| (( Original post by Othragon, copied from the HoS forum )) For too long have we walked alone. Far too many times have our alliances and treaties been broken by mistrust and treachery.
Now, the sun shines high in Quel'Thalas. Maybe it shines too bright for our rotten eyes, and maybe our darkness will engulf this light... Still, the time has come for the undead to place trust in someone else but theirselves... someone who has lost as much as we have, and now struggles to get it back...By Decree of Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, Queen of Lordaeron, the Royal House of the Forsaken have seeked out the arising blood elf organisation named The Everlasting Sun. Word of their return came to the Dark Lady by the hand of Ambassador Sunsorrow, who saw only fit for this alliance to occur in such an opportune timing. Honoring the agreement that lead our forces to aid the blood elfs in Tranquillien, the Everlasting Sun are also willing to seal this treaty and consolidate an alliance that will equally benefit both parties and bolster them in all fronts. High Executor Rotarm has already begun negotiations with Madame Nimarae, spokesman of the Everlasting Sun. This encounter took place in her office and a pre-commitment document was signed. This document contained several issues to be discussed in the future when both organisations formally meet, such as: Military aid: The events that transpired in the Ghostlands showed us both our races are passible of fighting together and reach common goals with less effort. Therefore it makes only sense this connection is tightened. The Forsaken have much to offer when it comes to sheer brute force and spying techniques, and the elven kin has proved to be a disciplined and organized combat force. Adding that to the geographic position of our bastions and Capital cities, it will be plausible to create a choke hold in the plaguelands, pressing forward from both the northern and western borders. Scientific and magical research: Without light there can be nos shadow. It is no secret the role mageocracy has in Elven society. It is an integral part of their beings and it was the cause of their downfall and the reason of their new arisal. The Forsaken on the other hand, have extensive scientific knowledge and have mastered the art of controlling Shadow magic and it's variations. It goes unsaid that sharing of such knowledge could prove most beneficial to both factions. Completing common objectives: The Everlasting Sun is at the moment rebuilding their premises and therir former bastions, wich include the bridge our very own Queen gave her life to defend. The Forsaken are as always burried deep in their revenge against the Scourge and Ally forces. These and many other common goals can be performed in cooperation in the future, as both forces will become more efficient. We now await further word from our future allies, in order to consolidate these subjects and any others that might present themselves. Untill the official treaty and the meeting of organisations take place, any official contact or attempt to negotiate must go through the High Executor's bureau. The people of the Undercity should relish this alliance and further embrace the presence of the Elven kin in our lands, aswell as feel free to visit the realm of Quel'Thalas and enjoy it's delights. Remember, the elven kin are nothing alike our previous allies of the Shamanistic Horde, savages with absolute no sense of civism. This time around we are building a relation with peers in thought and intellect, capable of carrying a educated conversation and present themselves in an orderly fashion. Very much like our own race, they aswell take pride in being more advanced in all fields then the Kalimdorian races who share the fact of being under the Horde banner. May the Shadow guide your path, always. |

They have been allied, but RP-wise and lore-wise the relationship was never awesome. Forsaken find the Horde to be a bunch of dumb savages.. and the Horde sees the forsaken as a rae that cannot be trusted and after Wrathgate even worse.. that´s why we have those delightfull Kor´kron Orcs in UC now... *shrug* But I´m not saying anything new here With belves it´s the same. So yeah, they are allied.... but....there is a but... |

| I can come up with a very handy parallel from the Real World, where two factions joined formed an alliance, yet mistrusted each other a lot: in World War II, Soviet Russia joined the Allies. The communist dictatorship and the capitalist democracies united their forces to defeat the Nazi Germany and the other Axis forces. Yet, this didn't mean the Americans and the British fully trusted and accepted the communist ideology, or the Soviets began liking the capitalist forces - quite the contrary: when the war has ended, the Cold War almost immediately broke out. Actually, the parallel between the Blood Elves and the Soviets go even further: Russia was originally allied to Germany in World War II, and left the Axis and joined the Allies only when Germany attacked them. Likewise, the Blood Elves were originally part of the Alliance, and joined the Horde after they got backstabbed by the humans. | |
