The celebration of O Tal Nor When Quel'Thalas was still flourishing and lively beyond imagination, its inhabitants would have an annual celebration of New Beginnings. After the sun had set, the Elves would make campfires and share their good intentions and ideas for the upcoming Season of Sun. Starting with the next day, they would do their best to focus again on their goals which they could share that evening or keep intentionally secret.
Writing their good intentions on a note, they would all together apply them to a fire rocket and shoot them simultaneously into the skies of Quel'Thalas, to have the ashes flow into the powers surrounding the Sunwell, giving their intentions more strength and consistency that way.
O Tal Nor, Thalassian for 'A New Day', was called upon to celebrate new beginnings and new plans, but has been forgotten since Quel'Thalas was destroyed. Now, many years later, two sin'dorei have decided the time has come to set new life into the celebration, and make some adjustments to it. With their new-found allies, they wish to expand their spirit throughout all the races of the Horde. United as one, forgetting grief and distress against each other, for one evening, we will celebrate our wishes for the upcoming summer. OOC: This is an event for both new roleplayers as older roleplayers, we will also try to carry in some OOC'ers from the realm who have interest for roleplaying but haven't got it off the ground yet.
For the new roleplayers the aim is to have an easy accessible event for them to get introduced to light roleplaying. Although the main goal is to have a good time, meet new roleplayers, for guilds to recruit new players, we will also have a mini event at 22.00.
At 22.30 exact, everyone is to light the fireworks they brought (we will also be providing fireworks for those who have forgotten theirs). The big thought behind it is of course that everyone shoots their wishes into the air, which should also make a good point of conversation.
Where: The second store in Thunderbluff, in front of Cairne's tent.
When: Saturday, April 18th, 21.00.
What: Alcohol and fireworks will be provided, however, feel free to bring any of your own. Fireworks will be lit at 22.00! Both Lynnora and Ziah will be inviting OOC'ers we meet who have interest for roleplaying, feel free to do so yourself as well. For more information /w us in game or post on the forum.
Dress code: None, dress to impress or just be yourself. Ziah and I will be nailing posters to walls, trees and goblins throughout the bigger cities. Story HERE

| Oh yes, I'll be there like shareware!
But... why is this oh-so-sexy elven event happening in Thunder Bluff? I mean, I love those ol' beefbags as much as the next guy, but wouldn't somewhere in Quel'Thalas be more suited?

There are some reasons for that: First we wish to introduce our celebration throughout the races and not keep it only amongst Blood Elves. Holding the Blood Elf celebration in the Blood Elf area make it less accessible for the other races. Secondly, the destruction of Silvermoon was to begin with the reason not to have this celebration anymore so therefore we don't want the rebuilt Silvermoon to be the scenery for this celebration anymore - just would feel like a bad copy of the old celebration. Thirdly, (and perhaps OOCly most important) we didn't want this celebration to be a copy of the Sunfury Ball and live on the success of someone else's event. Fourth, the spot in Thunder Bluff is just great for roleplaying events, the NPCs are so nice to light a big campfire every evening and it's easy accessible by portal from Shattrath/Dalaran. And, anyone willing to help out (by handing out alcohol/fireworks or any other hand you wish to give us ), please let us know. |

| Sounds like fun!
I can help with building most kinds of fireworks, just whisper Ryleen and I'll tell you what mats you need. (I have both the big kinds that need a launcher, and a variety of little ones)

| As it's the end of term I have no youth club that night so might be able to make it under a pink-skinned, pointy-eared guise.
Hmm, must go and skin an elf now, I guess... |

| Nice!!! We were already wondering if it wouldn't be too hard for lower levels to get to TB. That is a great initiative. |

| We have been handing out posters yesterday in the Keel, which was a big succes. Thank you Adalan, for helping us nail the posters to the walls, beer kegs and Tauren. So far it seems we have quite the attendance. However, visiting Ratchet this morning, I found many posters had been vandalized, apparently by that Alliance scum that showed up yesterday and hurt Lynnora with their 'skeletal armz grabz u lololol' aoe. Therefore, next week we will be, again, handing out posters. |

Don't do that, it hasn't happened yet! It's on April 18 - two weeks to go still

| Adalan sent out calender invites. it really does help to remind ppl in this way. If you don't want to send invites to every individual, try just sending to the guild leaders and ask them to pass the message on | |

| You can also give other people (like responsible guild leaders) privilege to invite others to the event. I set up Vypra for this for the Ball, but I'm not sure how many people she invited. Or if she even noticed.
