Blinded by rage and agony, Kasperio walked from the battlefield cursing under his breath in pure spite of Arshes' betrayal. Fury shone from his eyes like lightning on a darkened day over Theramore, and bile words of rage passed slowly from his lips, as none of the Militants were able to fully connect to him, and one of Kasperio's closest stepped to his side to speak
"M'lord.. you are tired, le--"
No.
With a reply as cold as ice, the air around him almost shattered into shards as he looked to his servant and shook his head rapidly. He was focused on keeping Arshes' mindwhispers out, as he knew now, she had betrayed him. Despite her apologies, he saw through her now. She had lied to him, decieved him. He had entrusted her in this test and she had failed it. All that was left to do now, was to restore his honor
We cannot beat the House while they have Arshes lurking upon our actions.. so what do you say we visit their orcish friends?
Commander.. I request for Cantor Horus and Kaeden to stay with me. There is work to be done tonight, and i am FAR from satisfied..
As close friends, the Commander of the Stormwind Militia, Pilus Malbridge nodded, and Cantor aswell as Kaeden stayed behind. Kasperio brought them aside as the rest of the Militia ventured homewards, and he entrusted upon them the armor sets of his personal elite, that they might benefit their actions well in combat. After this, he gave them but a single nod and ordered them to their gryphons
In agreement, Cantor and Kaeden supported this decition, alas first the trip went back to New Agamand. With the House now forced back to the Undercity, only few guards were left stationed, and the swift and enstrenghened strike happened swiftly. It took short time for the Small elite force of three to tear down most of the city's forces and burn an archive, before rather sooner than later, they went off as swiftly as they had struct.
Venturing north, they were directly headed for Conquest Hold. It seemed hardly a suprise that the force of three were lead with Lord Silverlaine grasping onto the back of his gryphon with vengeance still running swiftly through his blood, and Cantor and Kaeden by each side, ready to assault this mighty Orcish Stronghold.
Upon Arrival, Lord Silverlaine swiftly gave word for the assault to take place, and striking with the guards caught off their attention, several orcish defenders were struck down, before finally the Warsong Blades approached in a furious battle resulting on heavy damage done to both sides. Naturally, the three Soldiers provided a strong menace but hardly anything that could resemble a victorious force against the Warsong Blades at their home court, and they were struck down and taken to imprisonment. This would not come thus far, however...
Upon the ground, Kasperio was first to raise himself in his heavy armor and around him stood the furious but calm army of Warsong Blade. So fiercely had they fought only a moment ago, alas they either considered Kasperio too weak to worry about killing or respected his courage, as he stood to walk to Cantor and Kaeden to help them up. Lord Silverlaine foresaw that there was only one way to leave this place alive, and he knew what burden he had to take upon his shoulders. As he approached Katalmach, a fierce and strong orc, he nodded to him once and challenged him to a duel, their freedom and their lives at stake. Katalmach saw this a grand opportunity, and the two mighty warriors walked to the Pit, awaiting the battle to begin.
Worried, that his Shaman allies would attempt to help Katalmach in the battle, Lord Silverlaine made very clear, that there would be no cheating in this fight. it was a battle not only with high stakes already, but a battle for honor, And as an honorable orc, Katalmach accepted the terms.
With soft and slow movements, the already wounded Kasperio stepped to the side of the pit and fell to his knees in prayer. Although never being a Paladin, Kasperio had always been known as a strong believer in the light, if not the Priesty nor Paladin ways. He felt his focus became stronger as he stood once more and turnt to the mighty and fierce Orc Battlemaster and nodded to him once more, the battle could not begin...
Katalmach took the first strike against Kasperio, and there was a long and hard battle between a versatile combatant as Katalmach, and the protective champion Kasperio, and it was a battle which seemed so evenly matched that it was unbearable for most to watch. While Kasperio's two soldiers screamed and cheered for him, Kasperio had the impression that the Blades were alike cheering for their champion in this battle, and it lasted for a long, long time.
As the battle between these two very equal, yet so very diffrent combatants, ended - the outcome of who had won became very clear to everyone, as a massive gasp was heard in the Pit. Katalmach had fallen and over him stood Kasperio Silverlaine, breathing exhausted from the battle before falling to his knees. He closed his eyes and muttered softly to himself as sweat ran from his forehead despite the chill of the north surrounding him. He looked upon Katalmach who got himself to his feet through the empowering energies of the Shamans of the Blade as it was now clear - he had won the freedom of himself and his Soldiers.
Walking to the gates, Kasperio, Cantor and Kaeden were watched closely by the entire Warsong Blade, and the tense in the air was so thick that the weakest knife could penetrate it with a small move, as Nazrug, the honored Shaman and leader of the Blades activities in Ashenvale rose to the gates to proclaim:
"You have fought bravely and bested our champion. Your worth has been shown and your freedom granted"
Nazrug then looked upon Cantor and Kaeden and continued
"They have yet to earn their honor, but you may leave this place.."
Kasperio, Cantor and Kaeden had struck a blow against the House of Sylvanas, and Kasperio had gotten what he wanted. The Blades had requignized his combat, alike back a long time ago, when he first fought victorious at the very same pit. He knew, that they knew, they would do wise in not forgetting, nor forgiving, the state his name holds.
Once returned safely to camp, Kasperio dismissed Cantor and Kaeden. This had been a small success due to the assistance of Kasperio's favorite call-to-battle legion, the Third Lion Regiment, despite the first loss, hence he could now rest easilly. His problems with Arshes still remained as he lowly muttered to himself, starring into the fireplace
You told me you loved me.. you tried to make me sleep with you, but i was too clever, Arshes, i did not fall for your tricks.. you told me secrets about the House of Sylvanas, secrets that we now have proof were true, so there must be something inside you, still - NO!.. no.. i am fooling myself.. you have chosen your side, and this was the final drop, Arshes.. i am sorry.. but you have let me down one time too many, now.. you will pay, soon enough.. soon enough..
((OOC Note: This was all from the Alliance point of View, whatever else happened, i cannot account for in my rememberance, but none of this was made up. I'd like to thank the House of Sylvanas, Stormwind Militia, Third Lion Regiment and last but DEFFINATELY not least, the Warsong Blades for this eventfull and extremely entertaining evening. One of the best i've had in years! Arshes' Betrayal, as sad as it was, led to some of the best RP i've had for so very, very long so thanks to her aswell. Thanks to Katalmach for -THE- ultimately best RP Duel i have EVER Had, it was so intense and i think i beat you by 2-300HP. Lastly, Sorry to Nazrug if i wrote what we agreed you had said Slightly wrong, i lost the log of what you had said, but i assume this sums up the ultimate, hm?.
