Veterans, soldiers and mercenaries of the Horde...

The Blades have officer and recruit roles that still need to be filled. General Crimsonwolf of the Warsong Clan has been assigned the task of assisting the Warsong Offensive in Northrend and will need able bodies for the fight ahead.

Are you in the regular army and bored? A veteran from the war? Or just tired of the tediums of civilian life? What the Warsong Blades can offer you...

• Dedicated Barracks in Kargathia keep, Orgrimmar and Warsong Hold.
• Weekly pay. (Regular army will pay yearly – if you survive to collect it.)
• Travel – see the world.
• Advanced training.
• Challenging Assignments - set aside for ‘specialists’.
• Patrols and scouting missions (Get out of the Guard house.)

"Above all else we shall dedicate ourselves and our entire strength to the Horde.
We shall grasp the axe, charge the enemy ranks and destroy them.
We shall infiltrate into the midst of the enemy and annihilate them.
With every salvo we will, without fail, slaughter the enemy.
Each Orc will make it his duty to kill ten of the enemy before falling.
Until we are destroyed to the last Orc, Lok'tar Ogar!
Blood and glory await us, Victory or Death!"

Affiliation with the Warsong Clan is not a requirement for recruitment but you will be required to swear allegiance when commencing with your career within the Blades.

Gurrack ducked as he entered the tavern through the tiny door. He sighed at the loudness of his new environment and paused surveying the scene. This part of the Shadow Cleft was always extremely busy, this bar in particular was infamous for its cheap ale and dirty inhabitants. The maids rushed around like excited children delivering their dirty mugs of foam to their customers with a smile, not minding at all when they were tapped on the backside by the clientele.
A fight had scuffled out in one of the corners, obviously over a dice game... always over tavern gambling. Gurrack made his way to the opposite side of the tavern, knowing all too well that either the guards would come rushing in, or one of the thugs will pull out a blade and end the squabble there and then.

He pushed his way through the crowd and next to a familiar face at the bar. The middle-aged Orc looked up to him with a grin of acknowledgment.

“Throm-Ka, Kragg.”

Kragg nodded and pushed aside one of the prostitutes occupying the seat next to him at the bar.

“Off with you now.”

He said, and then diverted his gaze back to Gurrack. The young orcish women drifted off and attached herself to her next likely prey.

“Seen this?” Gurrack said, slapping down a flyer on the bar.

“Aye, they’re all over the city.” He said simply. “This is what you called me here for?”

A sudden scream echoed from the corner and the two orcs shifted their gaze to the table of gamblers. One of the thugs had pulled out a concealed blade and shoved it into the other’s throat. The poor orc fell over dead. The tavern once again burst into life as if the incident never happened.

“I plan to join up tomorrow.” Gurrack announced.

“Join the Blades and fight under Crimsonwolf?” Kragg asked in shock.

“We’ve been out of action for years now, Kragg. We may be veterans of the three wars, but Gol’kosh I still have some fight in me, i’m not dead yet! ... and ... I’m running out of coin fast.”

Kragg nodded, he was obviously in a similar situation. Life in the army had paid them both well, but not enough to last them a life time. They were soldiers after all, not tradesmen.

“Joining the Warsong Blades guarantees us a roof over our head, meals and ample coin. In return all we have to do is follow orders, like the old days.”

“I’ve fought with you for years, Gurrack. You fight with your head, you are no Warsong.”

Gurrack pointed at the flyer again, his stubby finger pressing hard at the bottom of the flyer.

“We don’t need to be warsong to join, they recruit from all the clans. Troll and Tauren too I hear. Yes, we could be posted in Northrend, yes we may have to endure shitty barracks food, yes we’ll have to obey the orders from some snotty nosed youngster who was born into his officer role. But we will be fighting next to some of the best. Did you hear what happened last week? One of their recruits ripped off the head of a deserter. Ripped it off with his bare hands!”

Kragg cocked his eye brow. “Sounds like a load of bollocks to me.”
“Aye, I’d say that too, if I hadn’t heard it from Cato.”

“Cato..? Cato Swordsong? That vagabond joined the blades? I know he had some sort of blood debt to General Crimsonwolf, but...” Kragg asked.

“Is there another Cato? He’s not the only one. Orcs we used to fight with in the old days have already signed up.”

Kragg picked up the flyer and rubbed it between his fingers, as if feeling the texture. He seemed deep in thought. Gurrack continued...

“What else are we going to do, Krugg? Our coin won’t last forever and Orgrimmar does not favour the poor. Want to end up like poor Morrdraka? Besides, we are soldiers, civilian life doesn’t suit us old friend. Look around you, we don’t belong here!”

Krugg took a hushed tone...
“I don’t know, I’ve heard stories of this Crimsonwolf. He’s cruel Gurrack, as if he had Hellscream blood in him. Ever heard of a Warsong prisoner? They say that the Warsong have raiders in their back lines during battle to make sure any deserters are slaughtered if they try to run. And what of his Brother Crimsonblade? Cold hearted killer that one. Kills his own men for cowardice”

“I would never run from battle old friend and by my axe I know you are no coward. I would have followed Hellscream in his day and I am prepared to follow Crimsonwolf now. He has proved himself in the battle of hammerfall and the battle of Cenarious.”

Gurrack stood up and put his hand on his friend’s shoulder, placing the other flat on the table.

“I sign up tomorrow, are you with me?”

Krugg hesitated for just a second before slamming his hand ontop of Gurrack’s.”

“Let you have all the fun by yourself? Never! Let us drink this night away for tomorrow we are Warsongs!.”
