Damn it totalbiscuit! The lining of the admiral's hat wasn't white! The frill was fucking white... the adornment. The lining would be the piece of cloth that is aligned against the line of another piece of cloth. Outer lining and inner lining.

Edit: I can be wrong... but I checked numerous sources, and nothing indicated that lining would mean "the decoration at the very end of a hat".
