| Ale-Can-Gnome... I rest my case... can somebody close this thread, we're done.
Q) Why did the gnome cross the road? A) Because it couldn't remember where it left its ale...
1 whole gnome (females work best somehow...) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 3 tablespoons of your favorite dry spice rub 1 can of strong Dwarfen Ale
Remove neck and giblets from gnome and discard. Rinse gnome inside and out, and pat dry with paper towels. Rub gnome lightly with oil then rub inside and out with salt, pepper and dry rub. Set aside.
Open ale can and take several gulps (make them big gulps so that the can is half full). Place ale can on a solid surface. Grabbing a gnome leg in each hand, plunk the gnome's cavity over the ale can. Transfer the gnome-on-a-can to your grill and place in the center of the grate, balancing the gnome on its 2 legs and the can like a tripod.
Cook the gnome over medium-high, indirect heat (i.e. no coals or burners on directly under the bird), with the grill cover on, for approximately 1 1/4 hours or until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees F in the breast area and 180 degrees F in the thigh, or until the thigh juice runs clear when stabbed with a sharp knife. Remove from grill and let rest for 10 minutes before carving. | |

| Subject: About beef Sun Aug 24, 2008 8:45 am | |
| Beef is the meat obtained from a bull (a male tauren), a cow (female tauren) or a steer (castrated tauren). It's one of the more common meats used in the Azerothian cuisine. Beef is an important part of the Cen-Men (Centaur and Human) cuisine. There are two different beef production methods. In some parts of the world (such as Mulgore and Durotar), beef tauren self-feed on grass and weed they find, and then hunted down by centaurs. In other countries like Stormwind, feedlot beef is more common. The cattle are confined to a small stockyard and fed primarily on grain. They produce a beef which is tender, mild flavoured and marbled with large amount of fat. This kind of beef is rated from A to E by the Stormwind Council of Cuisine, based on the age of the tauren, "A" being for the yougest. Veal is the meat of the calves, the newborn tauren. Beef is carved into several sections, called cuts, which can be further divided into steaks, pot roasts, short ribs, and ground into hamburger. Beef recipes: * Beef and Barley Stew * Carpetbag Steak * Empanada * Au Jus Sandwiches * Hamburger * Hamburger Deluxe * Spaghetti with Bolognese meat sauce * Rice and Beef Soup * Roast Beef * Simple Nachos * Beef Stroganoff Loosely ripped from here: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook:Beef | |
