| Are you going to purchase the Internet Stream Pay Per View to follow Blizzcon '09 on August 21-22? I just made an order. I hope it will satisfy me.
The opening ceremony will start at 7:00 p.m. CET.

| Pay per view... to watch the... blizzcon... lol. Now there's a step into the ridiculous. Would've thought the outrageous cost of the char transfers would be enough to line their pockets. Um... in short, nope. I hope it works out worth the money for you though. | |

| Last year, there weren't any ways for Europeans to see Blizzcon at all, while Americans had free Internet Stream over WWI. It's 29 euros for 16-24 hours of Blizzcon footage + the murloc marine vanity pet. I don't know how poor you are, but that's a reasonable price for me to have an enjoyable weekened. | |

| To quote someone from the forums: - Quote :
- I bought the live stream,
because: £800 on plane tickets £120 on blizzcon ticket £400 on Hotel £300~ on "spending money"
it was just to expensive
so now its £25 on Blizzcon Pay per view £15 on a large pizza £20 on a crate of beer
sorted
oh and the pet is just a great bonus shame its not the whole goodie bag I have hundreds of euros to spare, lying around my dark crypt of a home so this is not even an expense to think about for my part this month. I hope someone else than me from WAL are going to watch the footage though, so I have someone to discuss the event with in the shoutbox.

| You can fill your fridge for a month for 29 euro? What the hell... 29 euro is like.. nothing. I could perhaps eat for 4 days on it if I was extremely careful. | |

| Since I'm at work I had to wait for the coffee break to find the source, but this answers the question, Ryleen: - Quote :
- Please note that the BlizzCon 2009 World of Warcraft in-game pet is not available in all regions. Only players on World of Warcraft realms in North America (including those serving players in Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand), Europe, and Korea, are eligible to receive the pet. Pet redemption will require a World of Warcraft account to be merged with Battle.net account.
So yes, you will get the pet.

| Oh, I must have misread it then. But how does this work, are you only able to watch it live, or can you look at it later too? I'm away that weekend, and paying that much just to get a pet seems a bit much even for a collector like me | |

| Anyone have a direct link? I kind of thought I needed to have some kind of TV package for it to work, which only worked in the US. Guess I was wrong.
So, exactly how does it work?

Not to mention he can get laid 2-3 times a week... as well. Cheap hookers over there I must say.

The difference is, Marius, that you live in Norway. Ilian lives in Bulgaria. The prices simply aren't the same!

It's a matter of principle. I'd have no compunction to actually attend a Blizzcon, let alone pay money to watch one from my couch. 29 euros is about £25 which is a ridiculous amount of money for something like this no matter how 'poor' I am, despite any in-game pet I'd get. That's half a tank of petrol to get me to and from work. To me, it's just not worth it.

So, exactly how does it work? Here is the link: http://blizzcon.rayv.com/Step 1. Check if the video below plays. If it does, you can watch the stream. Step 2. It is RayV who powers the stream (hence why Blizzard needs money for the feature), download their client to watch the high definition stream. The link is right there as well. Step 3. Click on Order Now. Make your payment. Step 4. Shortly, you will get a confirmation e-mail of your order and billing information. Account verifiation will come closer to the actual event and you will be able to log in with your information at August 21. Step 5. The vanity pet code will be sent to you 6-8 weeks after the event, and you must merge your account with a battle.net account to get it. You won't need to purchase a TV package to get the Internet Stream, but those who purchases the TV package will also get the Internet Stream.

I'm away that weekend, and paying that much just to get a pet seems a bit much even for a collector like me Since it is a live stream, it's only watchable live. You can go around that though and use software to record the monitor or, should you plug in the TV, use TIVO. The highlights will be on youtube shortly after though. Edit: I found this information: "In addition to the live Pay Per View Internet stream of BlizzCon 2009, rebroadcasts will be available for those who tune in after the show has begun. Rebroadcasts will be available during and directly following the show, giving viewers the control to watch BlizzCon at their convenience. Access to the rebroadcasts is included with the purchase of access to the Internet stream at no additional charge."
