Welcome to We Are Legion (WAL)!

Here you will find info on events, guilds and characters, story archives and some useful bits of info we've picked up over the years.

We hope you find the forum helpful and friendly and to ensure all our users share that experience we ask that everybody stick to the following guidelines on forum behavior:

General Behavior on the forum:

1) Defamatory, racist, hateful, pornographic, illegal or insulting content must be avoided on this forum. You must respect the fact that people may have a different opinion than you. If you are in conflict with another member, please use PMs for that, this board is not an arena!

2) Personal attacks and inflammatory behavior will not be tolerated. If you want to praise or criticize, give examples as to why it is good or bad. General attacks on a person or idea will not be tolerated.

3) Please respect the moderators and administrators. They all work voluntarily for your benefit.

4) Spam and off-topic : - Spam should be avoided. Posting the same message, or an unsolicited message, to one or many topics or boards is considered spam.*

- Please try to avoid double posting. If you make a mistake, please use the EDIT button at the top-right of your post to make corrections. For the most part, members should also be able to delete their own posts should they wish to do so. If you are unsure of how to do so, please pm a mod.

- Please to try to avoid constant, wholesale quoting the post of the person before you. I realise that if, in some of the more heated discussions, they decide to delete their post you no longer have the satisfaction of having it as evidence but it does start to make threads look extremely cluttered and for the most part, its simply not needed. However, quoting sections, to show clear reference to a point being discussed, is fine.

- Thread derailment happens and we understand that. However, if you have been asked to return to the topic but wish to continue the side discussion, please start a new topic for it or we will be forced to do it for you.*

- Please do your best to post new topics to the appropriate forum board. Moderators can take action when a thread should be moved to a more appropriate section.

* Note: for the Random Carp section the rules with the * after them do not apply. Spamming, trolling and off topic is tolerated here. However, the other rules still apply! Repsect each other and the mods. We're all here for fun after all Wink

All in all, use your common sense. The majority of you should know what is considered mature behavior, and that's all we genuinely ask. Please set a good example for our under 16's Wink

If everybody respects the above, there should be very little for myself and the Mods to do...however, tempers fray, people like testing boundaries and shit happens Razz

In that event, here's what you can expect from us:

- If a thread is posted in the wrong section, we will move it to the appropriate place.

- Threads that get hopelessly derailed*, trolled/ spammed* or flamed may be locked and posts that breach guidelines 1 and 2 may be removed from the thread. Should this happen, the Mod responsible will give a reason why they have taken action.

Note: If you dispute an action, please DO NOT start a thread about it. PM me in the 1st instance and i will review the situation.

* this does not apply to Random Carp

- On the rare occasions that we must edit members' posts, we will state what has been changed and why. Again, if you have an issue with any edit, contact me by pm.

Don't be shy; if you don't ask, you'll never know Wink
