The high-pitched blares of trumpets blast through the streets.
A herald comes running down from the Gryphon platform. He jumps up on the pedestal of a city lantern, holding the pole with one hand and using the other to amplify the sound of the announcement he's about to make:"They have returned! Knight-Lieutenant Morrissey's battle party has returned!"
Men and women from all over Stormwind City stream into the main road to catch a glimpse of the soldiers. Suddenly, vanity and luxury seem to have lost their importance. Suddenly, the people cling back to their old ideals of virtue and piety. "Wot 'appen'? Did'ey win? Did'ey beat'em orc scum?" a short man asks, eagerly trying to see what's going on over another man's shoulder.
And then ...
FIREWORKS!
As Elena and her followers move through the inner gates on their horses, their victory in the battle at Stonard is announced."The Horde has suffered severe losses! Mild and merciful as the followers of Jonathan Wellesley are, those injured were spared their lives. None will be able to stop our march north now! The way is paved, members of the Alliance!"
The crowd goes wild. "What a glorious feeling!" the herald shouts. The battle party is heartily welcomed. It is a day to celebrate.
Leaving the festivities behind her, the Knight-Lieutenant makes her way to the barracks. She sits herself down at a small wooden table where she starts writing a letter in an archaic human language."Sir,
It is with great pleasure that I announce to you our victory at the battle for Stonard.
As requested, the injured were left alive. The name of Wellesley the Merciful will now certainly be burnt into everyone's memories.
None were left able to give us any resistance as we make our way to Kargath. Ambushes are out of the question. The way is paved, as the herald put it nicely.
As for our own troops, we have lost two footmen, a dozen are injured. However, we expect our number to grow by about fifty percent now that the victory has been made known.
The people support us. The flame has been reawakened.
Esarus thar no'Darador,
Elena Morrissey" |
A contented smirk appears on Elena's face. “The marshal will surely be pleased to receive this news,” she thinks to herself. “Everything is going as planned.” She folds the parchment and tucks it into an envelope, which she seals using her signet ring. The imprinted symbol shows a red fist.
Elena collects her pen and ink and gets up from the table, heading towards a nearby tower.
Once at the top, she lets forth a sharp whistle, seemingly calling for someone. A few minutes later a magnificent brown-feathered eagle lands in front of her. With a curtly nod, she attaches the rolled up envelope to the bird’s talons. The eagle soars into the night, heading north.“Time to round up the troops. We have a long march ahead of us tomorrow morning, hungover weaklings will not be of any use.”

Time: 20.00 Realm Time (CET)
Rules:Victory is decided by winning rounds. The first round is an open-field battle in the middle of the Badlands. If the Alliance wins, the second round is in Kargath. If the Horde wins, the second round is in Thelsamar, Loch Modan. The second round consists out of taking the outpost or town that is under siege for at least 5 minutes. Corpse-camping is not allowed.
For roleplayers, deaths do not happen in character. We do not want to end anyone’s story over this. You may play as injured should you “die” due to game mechanics, but this is entirely up to you and how you decide to play it.
Staying in character is recommended, but not required. Everyone is free to attend, and everyone is equally welcomed.
Extra:Note that if your character is not able to attend due to ‘being neutral’ or anything similar, we request your presence on an alt or simply by pretending to be someone else for a day.
There is cross-faction communication between the two organisers; Elena and Jahraka.
The consequence of this battle is decided by who wins, storylines are ready for both outcomes.
