I almost want to grow tumbleweed just so I can have it billow past when a bad joke is present. It'd be even greater to go and watch stand-up with one tethered Razz

Just think of the possibilities a pet Tumbleweed would afford you. No need to feed it or clean up after a mess. It can make its own way forward, and generally live free with little effort on your part. And it gets to emphasise how bad a joke is. Pure win.

I can't get it? Why post tumbleweeds when there's a bad joke? I guess I'm not british enough, again. Sad

Quote :
The tumbleweed's association with the Western film has led to a highly symbolic meaning in visual media. It has come to represent locations that are desolate, dry, and often humorless, with few or no occupants.

A common use is when characters encounter a long abandoned or dismal-looking place: A tumbleweed will be seen rolling past, often accompanied by the sound of a hollow, dry wind.

This is sometimes used in locations where tumbleweeds are not expected, for comedic effect. It is also sometimes used to punctuate a bad joke or a character otherwise making an absurd declaration, with the plant rolling past in the background and the wind effect emphasizing the awkward silence (similar to the sound of crickets).

Apart from that whale eating, and the fact you owe your skin to us Brits (WW2), I'd quite like to live in Norway. Except for when I want to do anything interesting, ofc.

Overpaid doley students taking a decade to complete their studies at the expense of the taxpayer; about 15 years off (paid by the taxpayer) everytime you have a baby; and a lack of crowded places so you can actually move and breathe. Sounds good to me! Like a Star @ heaven

Heh, I think you'll find that norwegians eat very little whale indeed. We don't even hunt that much whale. Look at Japan, they're the bad guys there, not us.

And what do you mean we owe our skins to the brits? They helped us abit ans housed our royal family, but the germans were all over us pretty quickly. But don't worry, we served them only whale meat gone bad.

And the student thing.. well.. I ain't complaining.. *sits back and tucks in some fine tenderloin and switches on his big screen tv and wonders if he should study some soon.. perhaps.. we'll see.*
