[RP] Enter the Fray!

Hello there!

The Thunderscar clan will be hosting a server wide roleplay event on our home, Fray Island, every saturday evening, starting on the 31st of this month, starting at 19:00 Server Time.

All roleplayers are welcome and encouraged to come. This is an event where roleplayers can come and meet up with others and spend the evening roleplaying away. We're hoping this will be a good way to help and encourage more roleplay and interaction between the players of Scarshield Legion. There will be friendly duels, drinks, food, fires and, If I can ever find a bard, some music! We had an event last Saturday and it went well, we're looking forward to doing it more often.

Welcome, ok.
Here are some notes about when we'll be planning to do on the island and such.
It's still an island of warriors, so there'll be alot of training going on when the roleplay evening isn't go on. Also, bere in mind that this is the island we Thunderscars use as a home, so there might also be guild meetings in the main building which not everyone would be too welcome to, but there should be some guards stood outside if so.

The island will welcome anyone, including alliance, and there should be no violence, unless "they shot first".

We'll be starting the server-wide meetings on Saturday the 31st, so it doesn't collide with the Happy Hermit next weekend.

A couple of people which would be there;
Myself, Kayree, will be the hostess of the island. I will be there to provide drinks and food which would be free to people; As long as I have the money to buy all these damn cupcakes from Dalaran.

Warmaster Garshak; he's the leader of the Clan and would be there almost every time to welcome people to the island, but please try not to swamp him with questions. Fo that, go to Drastarr, the High Shaman.

I would also like to hire some people, EG; Bards, Barmaids, Caretakers, etc.

Market

I was also considering, once a month or something, to have a market day, where merchant roleplayers can come to trade their goods and skills.

This can include;
Rare meats and minerals your characters have gathered from their adventures.
Conjured potions and written scrolls.
If anyone has a slightly shadier type of character, you can even try to rip someone off.. But don't blame me if you give away all your money for a handful of weeds which a person would aquire fishing.

I'll stick on some dates which may be important;

31. Oct. 09; Enter The Fray, the beginning.
07. Nov.09; Market comes to Fray for the first time. I think I'll do this on the first saturday of every month, so it's not too common.

Every other Saturday is just normal meet up and get drunk.
I, Kayree, will be doing in-character interviews for people who would like to work there, so just send me a letter or something if you're intrested.

I guess this is an attempt by the Thunderscar Clan to gain some reputation in the roleplaying community and improve cross-guild relationships...

It reminds me of the party that the Heritage of Zandalar held on Yojamba isle, for the very same reason.

Good luck with the Marketplace idea too, one of our Ashies, a chap called Detah used to run a Sunday Tradings before he ran out of time/interest.

It was a good idea then and a good idea now.

It went well for a first day, not too many people turned up, but it was expected. We had some fun, and played games nearer the end. Hopefully next week would be more eventful seeing as that's when the market will come and everyone's free to buy/sell whatever they desire.

The main thing i'm looking out for are entertainers, EG; Bards, comedians,... And magicians.
Perhaps some more barmaids, and if people arn't so busy trying to get IMPORTANT CONVERSATIONS with our guild leader, maybe we could get something amusing done, without someone saying "Can we have a private chat with you please".

Great event with the marketplace. Enjoyed playing Vin there, although I lost a lot of his money betting on the fights
