A Dark Night on an Island Empty
PostSubject: A Dark Night on an Island   A Dark Night on an Island EmptyTue Jul 07, 2009 5:28 pm

A small Village, torn by war on a small Island near the frozen wastes that was Northern. It was not always small, once it was a huge city that stood tall, but the years of war had fallen on to the City has crumbled her walls and tarnished the people. Most of the Local people fled for the Main Lands to align themselves with either the Horde or the Alliance for safety, but allot of the people stayed for their king. The King of this Village was known as Karanat, he was a powerful elf. His followers loved him and his enemies despised him for he had fought many times but none of his enemies could kill him. His people stood by him and he stood to protect them. Their only son become almost as good as his farther and helped defend the people as best he could also. Together they stood side by side with the few soldiers they had left and fought the waves of attackers that tried to storm at their village time and time again. The relentless attacks of monsters and servants of their sworn enemies would not yield.

'King! we got word, they shall be attacking again from the south!' A guard shouted as he ran towards the King. The king deep in thought stood to his feet placing his helm on before announcing in his Loud deep voice.

'Prepare the defences, bring the women and children in doors! Men to arms! tonight we fight! show them no mercy for you shan't receive any from them! Bring the fastest rider to me now!' He called out to his people. All that he had said came forth, the men rushed to put on their armour, the women and children were in doors and safe, the guards formed up on the south side and the fastest rider came to kneel before the king.

'You called sire!' He said knelt before him

'I need you to ride to the north sore, once there you will see a signal flare, Light it! I have used the last of our Kingdoms finance to call in some help, Light the signal for us and we shall live another day.' he said as he walked towards the south defences. The knelt man sprinted towards his horse and rode off to the north coast as he was told. The rider could see the lights of the enemies draw close to the village, he wanted to turn back but forced himself to ride on faster. He knew the King wanted him to light the signal and that is all that mattered. he rode through a forest dodging all the branches that tried stopping him but un-successful as he came out the other end of it. He saw the Signal in sight, he gasped at it and dug his feet into his horses sides forcing it to go faster as he drew near the Signal.

The guards and their king stood ready in their positions to attack any advancing enemies. They could see that them draw closer, the lines of the undead armies as well as the dark robed leaders drew closer.

'Archers! FIRE!' the King yelled launching hundreds of arrows across the field hammering down many creatures that came to do harm to them. Wave after wave of arrows flew through the air at the attackers which pinned them to the floor. The guards cheered at this, but the king knew it was not over. The hooded men nodded to each other getting off their horses and began chanting which made all the hundreds of Undead bodies stand once more and march on towards the village once more.

'Is there no end? they are monsters! how can we beat them! all is-' a guard screamed out of panic

'Still your tongue! It is not over and wont be for a long time! Fight on! defend the Village and the King!' The king's son Screamed out as he drew his swords and stood ready. When he drew them, the guards cheered and did the same. The king smiled and drew his sword also lifting it up and letting out a roar to rally the men. They all cheered and roared also ready for battle and prepared to go as long as it took. The undead masses charged towards them. The King stood strong not flinching, the men stood there waiting, as did his son. They stared at the masses charging towards them. The King's sword had a relic symbol of war on it and as he prepared to fight the symbol appeared to glow a menacing red. The Wave of undead had finally arrived and clashed against the wall of guards that stood strong. The battle was glorious and bloodied as swords clashed, shields broke, bodies were destroyed, utter carnage.

'DO NOT LOSE COURAGE! FOR THIS IS OUR TIME! OUR BATTLE! FIGHT ON!' The king screamed out in battle as he swung his sword slincing through the bodies of the undead fiends that attacked him. They could not keep up with him, he demolished them one by one, forcing the monsters back as he fought. The gourds pushed as many as they could back, a few were stabbed and killed but most stood strong and fought back pushing them back. But then, from the East and the west, two large forces of Undead came charging, and with hem a few giants. the king glared at the sight and was about to yell before a mist descended apon them all.

'Ah, War, so good to see you again old friend.' A soft voice came from behind him. The kings men stood in shock as the mist vanished and a large army was standing in the village with three people standing in front of them.

'...Lady death....you came....' The king said panting

'yes, You know I would keep my word. I Lady Linoria! am here to assist in the battle, Warriors! to Arms! defend these people at once!' Linoria said loudly as she drew her mace. the army behind her rode out in two waves to attack the forces coming towards them.

'War, you know Kakinshina, and this, this wonderful angel you see, is my daughter, Gwenderlin.' She pointed at the two beside her. Kakinshina was a large gentlemen with a large scar over one eye and long hair with a cape covering him as well as most his face. His visible eye was red and his long ears showed he was elven. Linoria was a Medium hight woman that had signs of defendant night elven heritage with shoulder length hair and a soft pale completion, her eyes pale blue. As for the final one, the one known as Gwenderlin, her hair was shoulder length, Silvery like colour, with sky blue eyes. Her skin completion was pale but she had long elven ears but allot shorter than her mother. She also had long black feathered wings like an angel or at least how one would imagine an angel to be.

'Mother, do I really need to watch, I'd much rather finish this quickly to get back to my training.' Gwenderlin said softly as she peered over at the battle. Linoria giggled and shook her head at Gwenderlin.

to be continued....

A Dark Night on an Island Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Dark Night on an Island   A Dark Night on an Island EmptySat Aug 15, 2009 9:31 pm

Gwenderlin closed her eyes as she flew up, her skin slowly turned darker than the nether itself, her wings were fully extended as the shadows covered her completely. She started to slowly open her eyes gazing at the masses of Scourge and fiends charging at the allies that she was to protect.
She glared as she casted a dark beam at one of the Scourge in the middle of the masses of them which sent massive shock waves around causing dark energy to purge them all driving them insane forcing them to attack themselves rather than the allies, and some even tore themselves apart trying to make what ever pain they were going though to stop. Linoria peered up shaking her head.

'Thought I said not to Gwenderlin.' She said with a slightly hurt tone from being defied. Gwenderlin peered down at her mother and frowned as she flew back down, her skin returning to it's normal colours, and her shadows vanishing with her wings going back into her self. Linoria stared at her daughter for a while before drawing her mace and riding into the battle, pulling her helm on as she charged into the masses of Scourge and Fiends swinging away at the waves of relentless attacks. With the swinging of her mace could hear the crushing and shattering of bones and splatter of blood, she was just as relentless as the waves of monsters attacking.

"Well, guess that is my cue to help out the battle here, War, you joining?" Kakinshina said smiling as his nails grew longer and his eyes turned as dark as the Nether. The king smiled softly as he pulled up his sword and lifted up a helm he saw sitting on a chest which Linoria was sitting. He fitted it on and turned, the Helm had two large horn like shapes on it, and a sinister mouth guard that looked like large metallic fangs. His eyes began to glow a sinister red as he climbed onto his horse. Kakinshina grinned noticing the king seemed more complete now, riding just behind him, he could tell that the king, was happy, more happy than he has been in a long time.

Gwenderlin sat frowning at the battle where she was not allowed to join in, she glared a little as she took out a dagger, and started to meditate making the dagger float around her. She sits there so still with all the cause flying around she sits there completely at peace concentrating on her meditation and nothing else. what has become of her, how is she like this?

A Dark Night on an Island Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Dark Night on an Island   A Dark Night on an Island EmptyTue Aug 25, 2009 3:14 pm

Gwenderlin was sitting on the ships mast peering at the long distance before noticing her mother coming up from behind

'What is the matter dear?' Linoria asked her daughter

'I'm ready, I want to go back now, I want to be there for her again.' Gwenderlin said softly peering out at the water.

'I see, well you have finished you training....you made a lot of progress, hmmm. Kakinshina! new heading, Set sail back, back to Frey Island, full mast, time we go back, and see what has happened in our absent.' Linoria said with a soft smile to Gwenderlin and Kakinshina as she slid down a rope to head to her quarters. Gwenderlin smiled softly looking out at the ocean whispering.

'I'm coming, hold on, soon I'll be home.'
