The mountain calls Empty
PostSubject: The mountain calls   The mountain calls EmptyMon May 18, 2009 9:14 pm

Setting up a Mount Hyjal raid showing shortly, it can be done IC, or OOC just for some cool looking loot.

Probably this coming weekend, times to be discussed, this is for anyone of level 70 or above, and loot will be rolled for primarily for rp gear, though of course if you want something that can help you level, then you can ask nicely for it ^^.

Mount Hyjal is the one raid that I wish I had completed, it is ( in my opinion ) the best raid that Blizzard ever released, the atmosphere there is awesome. Plus, you get to see the World Tree Very Happy .

We'll need at least 10-15 people, but with any luck, we might get all 25 people toether for this.

Definitely up for this. Teabagging Archimonde sounds like a blast!

When are you looking at raiding?

*minor bump*

Also, while we're on the topic, where else would people like to see? There were some real fun ones back in tbc, and even vanilla.

I'd love to see all tbc raids, the only one I've done is kara. And to do blackwing lair would be fun some time.

I want to do C'Thun at some point. I joined a raid on Gurthang and got all the way to the Twins and then had to go to work so missed the last battle!
Also want to do Vashj (still got the quest to complete) and Illidan somewhen, just to see them.
In vanilla, I want to do ZG full. It's the one easily accessible raid that I've never done a full run on.

And then there's CoT in general. I have never been in and done any of them, so would quite enjoy a trip down nostalgia lane to soak up some lore and splatter some mob blood!

And let's not forget Kara, which I have also never done!

Are there any pre-quests any more, or can one just 'turn up' now? I'd love to see it once.

To my knowledge all attunements were removed. So you should be able to enter. However, it not "just like that". As with karazhan, you dont need to be attunded to be inside anymore, but you still need to do the questchain to open the door to gain entrance(Or have someone else there to lockpick/open it for you). You can also have a warlock summon you inside.

I've never been to MH, so not sure what is needed to enter there.

There is a quest that you had to kill Kael'thas and Vashj (and get their heads or something similar) called the Vials of Eternity which would get you into MH.

nothing is needed to enter it i think.

atleast i dont remember needing to wait for someone to open a door for me when i was there but i could be wrong.

edit: the attunment quest is no longer needed

Mount Hyjal does not require attunement. Prior to Patch 2.4 completion of Neutral [70] The Vials of Eternity was needed in order to enter the instance. The quest is still in the game, the only substantial reward being the (still quite good) Band of Eternity set of rings. Prior to patch 3.0.2 completion of the quest chain also rewarded the "Hand of A'dal", but since then it's no longer available.

It doesn't need an attunement. Blizzard scrapped the lvl 70 raid attuenements with the release of 2.4 as far as I know.

After 3.0.x they scrapped the rest of the raid attunements/keys needed, as well as some instance keys.

Still nice to pick up some extra gold in the process of doing TK and SSC though Wink
