PostSubject: Vanilla raiding   Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:27 pm

Just a thought, but would a few Classic raids (and TBC raids, now that I think about it) be doable somewhen in the future?

Not only would the achievements be cool to get, but I have only been into ZG twice, one of those times being for RP. Admittedly I have, on my dwarf, killed off Ragnaros, Nefarian and Onyxia and I have had the chance to kill Kael'thas with Gurf but it'd be really cool if the odd run to these places could be done.

It's quite possible to get this done. I killed Ragnaros yesterday infact and got the achievement. We were 3-4 80's and some lower levels. I very much like to do blackwing lair, but as last attempt showed BWL actually needs slightly bit of thought... we were aprox 7 or 8 nasty 80's and thought superhard DPS would get us there, but we got stopped by one of the later dragon bosses.. was annoying.. me wants another try!

As far as BWL goes, you definitely need the Ony cloaks to get it done. So we might need to farm Ony for a bit to get ready. When I did it with Gurth we had a lot of lvl 80's and it would have been a nightmare without the cloaks, even then!

Oooh, I'd love to come! Before Wrath, I'd hardly ever even been in a raid group, much less seen the inside of any of the raid instances.

Well places like Ony and ZG can, I believe, be soloed now so just get a group of 4/5 together and you should be able to deal with it fine.

I wish I was better at soloing things.. I kinda want to get my rep up with the zandalar trolls, but I can only barely manage the trash in zg on my own >.<

Yeah, but you should be ok with a few friends. Plus I'd have thought that HoZ would be wanting to get this sort of thing done as part of their RP, to get the top ZG gear as RP gear.

Look around inside the guild, Ry, I'm sure you're not the only one who'd like to visit ZG more often that the "official" guild raids. Smile

Wondering if, based on people's responses, it might be worth trying to just arrange it by giving a shout out on LFRP?

A place I really want to see though is sunwell plateu, but that requires some more serious planning.

Same. It'll have to wait until I'm 80 though, I think.

Never seen anything as true as this statement. And what's funny is that your avatar picture kind of reflects that sentence pretty darn well too.

Odd that I've only been to ZG all of three times, and of those, I was once the right level (pre-TBC) and the other two were just on a whim. Not sure why though, as it has the only mount I've ever really been willing to sell my entire family to some seedy organisation for. I guess it comes down to it not being me going when I choose but rather if there's an invite and I'm doing nothing else (silly me Razz).

I got invited by some friends to come play in old raids last night. We did all of aq20, wiped on the first aq40 boss a few times (I got a mount from the trash! woo! Too bad I can't ever ride it.. <.< ) Then we went and did ZA, and the mount dropping bosses of ZG. It was so much fun. We did AQ20 on four people and we were six going to ZA, and we didn't have any trouble at all with it.
